Sharing Stories

Enough Said Books offers a micro collection of books, subscriptions & gifts curated by spoken word poet & bookseller, Lorin Reid & packaged with care from her apartment on Gadigal Country (Sydney).

We’re passionate about poems, storytelling & amplifying emerging voices, so in addition to books, you will find chapbooks, prints, custom poems & temporary tattoos on our (digital) shelves.

We hope you feel at home here, find reads you will hold close or gift to the people you love most. We hope our books become a small part of your story, that you spill your morning coffee on their pages, turn down the corners at your favourite part & pass them onto your friends, leaving notes in the margins.

Community

Join us for monthly bookclub & online readings, guest curators, author events, market stalls, storytime & more.

We believe the most authentic connections are born of open discussion, reading widely and sharing stories and we can't wait to hear your voice in the mix.

Lorin co-founded Enough Said Poetry Slam on Dharawal Country (Wollongong) in 2012 and we’ll be joining the slamily for collaborations whenever we can!

About Us

Hi it's me, Lorin! I've been a bookseller for ten years and a reader since I was small, learning Magic Beach by heart & crying with Dad as we finished The Hobbit.

Since then, I've worked for incredible poetry orgs & bookshops, led poetry workshops for The Stella Prize, toured the USA and performed my work on stages like the Sydney Opera House, Yours & Owls Music Festival and Bankstown Poetry Slam.

It's been my deepest wish to open an indie bookshop, stock ALL of the (good) poetry, create space for gathering & maybe encourage someone to pick up a poetry collection for the very first time.

Find Books

“We read books to find out who we are. What other people, real or imaginary, do and think and feel... is an essential guide to our understanding of what we ourselves are and may become.”

― Ursula K. LeGuin
